Resiliency Residential Program (RRP)
This is a three-phase training program for individuals who work in residential treatment.
  • Phase I - Universal Elements of Effective Residential Care
This phase provides participants with the essential elements that guide emotional and behavioral stabilization. The training not only teaches these elements; but also provides participants with scientifically proven strategies that improve the likelihood that others being taught will learn and incorporate concepts into practices.
  • Phase II - Skills and Practices Proven to Increase Health and Adaptability
This phase identifies the skills and practices that have been proven in resiliency studies to dramatically improve outcome for individuals at risk. When promoted with children with chronic negative behavior, they were found to improve success in schools, community, vocation, and relationships. As in Phase I training, the paradigm places equal emphasis on teaching how these skills and practices must be taught in order that they are understood and demonstrated long-term.
  • Phase III - Increased Independence and Successful Transitions Through Natural Supports
This phase identifies skills and natural support that must be present in order to reduce recidivism and increase the likelihood of long-term success. This finil phase helps train individuals on establishing the supports needed in order to maintain achieved changes. Once again, an emphasis is place on ensuring that participants know how to implement as well as what to implement.
Agencies can contract to train a group of key personnel. Participants who complete the training and receive mastery level certification are then qualified to not only train within their agency but can train under contract for Resiliency Inc. Registration requires a commitment that participants will complete all three phases within a twelve-month period. This training is currently only offered to agencies seeking to train a group of up to ten essential agency personnel.
